The annual Christmas Golf Cart Parade returns to Lakewood Sunday, Dec. 10, the quirky holiday event features 50 decorative golf carts parading down Meadow Lake Avenue.
It’s a holiday extravaganza for all ages. People can indulge in pizza, hot chocolate, enjoy elf entertainment and vote for their favorite decorated golf carts.
“It’s really just a unique thing that we have in Lakewood,” Todd Krumholz, a participant said.
This year, the parade is elf themed, with carts full of Christmas balloons, lights, garlands, dressed in festive accessories, all in hopes to win the big nutcracker trophy or restaurant gift cards.
“People really get into the decorations, some of these carts have got multiple inflatables on their roof and out in front of their carts lit up,” he said.
Krumholz mentioned it typically takes him months to brainstorm and bring his golf cart vision to life for the parade.

For those participating or looking for a sneak peek before the parade begins, a pre-party line up with all carts will take place at 6807 Meadow Lake Avenue at 4:30 p.m., with the parade launching at 6 p.m.
