Since Cafe Express closed in Mockingbird Station in 2018, the space has sat empty. But that’s about to change.
A new American restaurant called The Finch is expected to open in the suite in 2022, the Dallas Morning News reported.
It’s owned by Milkshake Concepts, the same group that owns Serious Pizza and recently opened Harper’s in Deep Ellum.
The menu will feature items including a raw seafood bar, soups and salads, pastas and pizzas, grilled fish and meats and more.
When it closed, Cafe Express had been serving East Dallas neighbors from its spot on Mockingbird Lane for about 20 years. Trinity Hall Irish Pub, which was also located in Mockingbird Station, closed in late August, ending its 20-year run.
Mockingbird Station includes retail space, office space and residential lofts.
