A sign posted on the door said the bar’s lease was ending this month. The owners closed to clean up and get ready to leave.

Trinity Hall also posted a note on its Facebook page.

“Before we get into the weekend, we want to let you know that Trinity Hall has pulled the classic Irish Goodbye … We’ve slipped away while you were at the bar getting another round,” the pub wrote. “Our 20 year lease was up, our hearts are filled with your smiles, songs & laughs …”

Known for its wide beer selection, Trinity Hall opened in 2001 at 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane. It was owned by Marius Donnelly, who once told the Advocate he had “everything but the floor” of the pub flown in from Ireland.
