Construction on a residential and retail property is underway near North Central Expressway and Mockingbird Lane, the Dallas Morning News reported.
The high-rise project called The Crossing will include 330 apartments and 90,000 square feet of retail space, according to the Morning News. It will be located at 6080 N. Central Expressway next to the DART’s Mockingbird Station.
The newspaper reported that Chicago developer Convexity Properties started the first phase of construction, which will include a 20-story residential tower with retail space on the ground floor.
The Crossing will be the largest new development in the area just east of Southern Methodist University between U.S. 75 and Greenville Avenue, the Morning News reported. Developers have built and renovated several apartments and retail spaces in that area in recent years.
