The shop will be just steps from Urban Vines Wine Bistro on the ground level of the Reserve at White Rock Apartments. Also nearby are Well Grounded Coffee, Thryv Organics and more.

It will offer “unique wines that reflect the specific appellations and terroir from where they are sourced,” the boutique writes in a Facebook post. Some craft beer and wine accessories will also be available.

The business model is slightly different from Urban Vines, which serves drinks and food to customers in the store. That option won’t be available at Terroir.

“Terroir is a loose term that encompasses various things,” according to a Terroir post. “What they are depends on whom you ask. In general, though, it means ‘a sense of place.’ Essentially, terroir encompasses all of the factors that go into producing wine grapes in a vineyard, from the climate to the soil to the elevation.”

The shop will open in the former White Rock Yoga space, at 9225 Garland Road, Suite 2120.
