We mentioned earlier today that Trader Joe’s is building its Lower Greenville store, even as you read this. The company is still working on the foundation, but hey, the news is that’s the store is on the way.
Also on the way is the new Trader Joe’s on Knox Street, taking up much of the older retail buildings between the 7-Eleven and Armstrong. The DMN’s Steve Brown reports that the new store will be 13,433 square feet, with construction beginning in several months.
Lincoln Property is one of the developers on the Knox Street project. They’re also redeveloping the Gaston and Garland property here in our neighborhood, as well as the Lakewood Shopping Center at Abrams and Gaston.
There have been quite a few rumors about what’s happening at both neighborhood locations, but nothing confirmable yet.
