Maybe you’ve interacted with one too many crazy neighbors to think this is true, but the data is in. We live in some of the smartest ZIP codes in Texas.
A new list from UnitedStatesZipCodes.org shows that 75204 and 75214 round out the state’s top 50 smartest ZIP codes, according to U.S. Census Bureau data based upon the number of residents who’ve earned a master’s or doctoral degree.
With 27 percent of neighbors holding such a degree, 75204 was ranked No. 42, and 75214 came in at No. 48.
That’s not a bad spot to end up, considering there are roughly 2,650 ZIP codes in Texas. A long life expectancy is another perk of living in the neighborhood.
But stay humble, Lakewood. Let’s not act like those 1-percenters.
