School is back on for Dallas ISD after a citywide snow day (or rather ice day) yesterday. Here’s what you should know:
- Parents, don’t forget to vote for the upcoming 2014-2015 Dallas ISD school year calendar on the Dallas ISD survey.
- There are still some items remaining from the LECPTA Auction Party. Go to the website and click on “tickets and treasures” to browse the remaining items.
- Tonight at 7 p.m. is the J.L. Long Buc Band Holiday Concert in the auditorium. Then on Thursday at 7 p.m. is the Woodrow Wilson High School Band Holiday Concert in the Woodrow Wilson High School Auditorium, 100 S. Glasgow. Call 214.616.0194 for questions.
- The student leadership team at Lakewood Elementary is collecting new toys for the Toys for Tots drive, which ends Friday. Toys must be in the original packaging. Deliver to Ms. Jones in room #113.
- Stonewall Jackson is hosting an angel tree this year to help needy Stonewall families. The tree is in front of the office. All gifts must be wrapped and brought to the school by Dec. 18, so they can be distributed before winter break.
