Here are some neighborhood school news nuggets for the week:
- In the photo above, Friends of Lakewood provided more than 100 burgers to feed all the teachers and staff at Lakewood Elementary lunch last week.
- Coming up is the Friends of J.L. Long Fall 2014 Happy Hour on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 6:30 p.m. for J. L. Long dads. They’ll be gathering at The Gingerman in Lakewood. All feeder school and jr. high dads, uncles, grandfathers, etc. are invited.
- Earlier this week, Stonewall Gardens shared these photos on Facebook of its garden.
- William Lipscomb Elementary announced that its annual annual Silent Auction will be held on Nov. 20 this year, at Times Ten Cellars. Read more.
