Fifty years ago, Samuell-Grand Park still had a recreation center, athletic fields and a pool.
Mount Auburn Elementary, which was established in 1922 years ago, was the next-door neighbor, as it is now.
But though there are similarities between 1972 and 2022, the park has changed. Now, we have pickleball and tennis courts, as well as an entire aquatic center known as “The Cove.” Plus, Shakespeare Dallas now puts on productions at the amphitheater in the park.
