Sample This! is a temporary shop in Mockingbird Station selling designer samples from Los Angeles fashion houses. Everything in the store is 50-60 percent off retail, and nothing costs more than $100. There is only one of each item in the store, and they’re only in sample sizes — 2, 4 or 6.
Shop owner Allyson Cooke says she “couldn’t have found a better fit” for the shop, which is geared toward women in their 20s and 30s.
The shop, which is in the old Counter Culture space, between Victoria’s Secret and the former Centre, is holding a grand opening on Thursday, Feb. 24 with wine, hors d’oeuvres and music.
The shop is expected to be open through August.
