The Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors voted unanimously to bestow a Lifetime Membership award to the Lakehill Preparatory School headmaster.
Roger Perry has led the school at 2720 Hillside Drive for about 40 years and oversaw a major campus expansion in 2016. He will step down from the position at the end of the school year. Hi successor, Art Hall, will begin his tenure July 1.
Perry has been a member of the chamber for years and was the first board chairman to serve three consecutive years in that position, from 2011-2013.
The Lifetime Membership award is given to individuals who have exhibited exemplary service to the chamber and the East Dallas community.
Perry is the first person to receive the award in at least four years, chairman Brad Grist said.
