A pizza delivery driver killed one person and injured another Tuesday night after they tried to rob him near the The Village apartments in East Dallas, authorities said.
The attempted robbery happened shortly after 10 p.m. at 8149 Southwestern Blvd.
A Papa John’s Pizza employee was delivering food when two 15-year-olds demanded the driver’s property at gunpoint, police said. The driver, who has a license to carry, had a gun and shot both teens.
They were taken to an area hospital, where one died. The other was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening. He was released into police custody and charged with aggravated robbery.
The delivery driver was not injured.
