Grilled chicken, steak, pulled pork or even Andouille sausage atop fresh veggies (think Roma tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms and onions) and melting cheddar or mozzarella cheese — the opportunities are endless when it comes to quesadillas at Quesa-D-Ya’s on Greenville Ave, and, better still, they deliver to your East Dallas home or, in my case, office.

The favorite here at the Advocate mothership was, perhaps, the Smokey Mountain D-Ya: chicken breast mixed with bbq sauce, chopped bacon, smoked ham, rice, carmalized onions and smoky cheddar. Yours truly stuck to the savory veggie D-ya.

Owners Paul Oltmann and Steve Daroche market the quesadillas as an alternative to pizza — they come in small (7.25) medium (12.50) and large (15.50). Think of them as the Tex-Mex version of gourmet pizza.

Despite the impressive array of ingredients and options — there are salads and tacos on the menu too (!) — the white cheddar queso is the one thing I cannot get out of my head. It even comes with beef, if you want.
