Very rarely is a restaurant able to completely master their one specialty item, let alone their entire menu.  Little Katana serves up both sushi and Asian-Fusion cuisine perfectly.

My favorite dish is an appetizer called Bul Go Gi ($9): which is sirloin beef in a Korean sauce served with white rice.  It is tender and tastes authentic.  Another choice item of mine is the Katana Roll (which the owner recommended table side).  I order both, and together they are the perfect dinner portion.  Little Katana also offers Blue Toro that my husband orders nigiri style.  He says it is perfectly fatty, and is the best toro in Dallas (market price).

The service was amazing, our waiter went above and beyond to ensure that our 10-month-old daughter was happy.  I was shocked that he instinctively brought her a bowl of sushi rice and orange slices for her to munch on during our meal.  It was perfect.

It is rare to find a top-notch sushi restaurant that is this kid-friendly. With the choice of dining indoors or enjoying the patio that looks onto Travis Street, Little Katana is a great family dinner locale.
