I just got off the phone with the Janelle Law, a Realtor for the Regency at Lakewood, a set of town homes located at the corner of Oram and Alderson. The urban homes, which we first reported on back in 2007, are gaining more and more interest from people, according to Law.
After fighting through a slow year and a half, home sales at the Regency are taking off as seven of the twenty-seven homes have been sold, with another set to close Monday, and three more currently in negotiations. Law credits the construction of new courtyards, "which give each home a defined space," as well as the new landscaping for much of the increase in interest.
The properties are now co-listed between realtors at Allie Beth Allman and Ebby Halliday, a move that Law believes has given the properties a stronger presence because of the strength that comes with the Ebby Halliday name. According to the Regency website, prices for the homes start in the $260’s, and home tours are held Tuesday through Saturday from Noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
