The big event this weekend is, of course, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival.

You can read all about that here.

But if you’re looking for something other than St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, check out these two events in Deep Ellum.

Shakespeare Dallas is having a pub crawl Saturday afternoon. Tickets, which cost $20 for general admission, include discounts at participating bars, a Shakespeare Dallas souvenir cup, participation in the trivia contest and live entertainment.

Drink specials will be offered for cocktails, shots, ales, ciders and other drinks.

Actors from Shakespeare Dallas, which celebrated its 50th season last year, will perform scenes from Shakespeare’s plays at each of the locations.

The crawl begins at 2 p.m. at Twilite Lounge and moves from there to 3 Links, Trinity Cider and Ruins.

Tickets can be purchased here. Wristbands allowing priority entry and access to specials at the bars will be given to participants at check-in at Twilite Lounge.

There will also be a Deep Ellum Outdoor Market, held this Saturday and every Saturday throughout the month, from noon to 6 p.m. at 100 N. Crowdus St.

More than 40 local vendors will be selling their crafts each week, and visitors can enjoy music curated by Deep Ellum Radio while they shop. On March 29, the market will be accompanied by opportunities for face painting, a photo wall, a live artist mural painting and other activities.

This is part of the initiative to celebrate Deep Ellum’s 150th anniversary. Read more about the neighborhood’s history and what else is planned for the year.
