The annual St. Paddy’s Day Dash Down Greenville will begin Saturday’s festivities at 8 a.m. More information about the race, which starts and ends at Energy Square at 4925 Greenville Ave., is available here.

After the race comes the Dallas Mavs St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival. The festival runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The parade begins at 11 a.m. at Blackwell Street, heads south on Greenville Avenue and is planned to end around 2 p.m. at SMU Boulevard.

There will be road closures around the parade route, along Greenville Avenue at Caruth Haven Lane, Southwestern Boulevard, Lovers Lane and University Boulevard.

Dallas neighbors can use DART’s Red Line or Orange Line to get to the Park Lane and Lovers Lane stations to access the parade and festival. Ride share services may also be used.

Parking will also be limited in the neighborhoods around Lower Greenville. Any cars parked in violation of the “no parking” signs, which go into effect Saturday morning, will be towed and/or ticketed.

The block party will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. Bars will remain open until 2 a.m. A free shuttle will be available to take people from Mockingbird Station to the block party on Greenville from Vanderbilt to Vickery.

Participating restaurants and bars are Blue Goose, Dodie’s Reef, Dubliner, Stan’s Blue Note, Terilli’s, Halcyon, Christies Sports Bar and Sister. Several cash-only beer tents will be available.

This will be the last St. Patrick’s Day celebration for Blue Goose, which is closing March 19.

The gate admission is $20 (cash only), and there will be several entry gates, with ATMs at each one. Credit cards are accepted inside the bars and restaurants.

No backpacks, large purses, containers or coolers are allowed, and you must be 21 or older to attend.
