New York City-originated chain Prince St. Pizza is opening its first Texas location in our neighborhood on Friday, Oct. 24.
The new pizza place is located at 2820 N. Henderson Ave. (formerly Fireside Pies) and will offer lunch, dinner, late night, catering and in-location dining, according to its website. The menu is expected to include the cheese pizza “The Original Prince,” “The Naughty Pie” with spicy vodka sauce (contains prosciutto), pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, ricotta and Zab’s Hot Honey, and “Spicy Vodka” with spicy vodka sauce (contains prosciutto), fresh mozzarella and Pecorino Romano.
“For our pizzeria in Knox-Henderson, our pizzas are available by the slice and as whole pies and are prepared with handcrafted sauces made daily from scratch,” reads the website.
Using family recipes, Prince St. Pizza was born in 2012 and now has multiple locations in the country, mostly in California.
“Our recipes have been in the Morano Family for generations and stem from a simple idea, ‘If you can put it on pasta you can put it on pizza,’” reads the Prince St. Pizza website. “Since then, Prince St. has made a name for itself as a premium pizzeria across New York, Miami and California, serving legendary Sicilian ‘SoHo’ Squares and original Neapolitan pizzas with a New York City slice shop experience.”
