I just received an update via email from Andrea Jennings, one of the former Metro Retro’s owners. She is reopening under the name Pop Logic on June 29 from 6-10 p.m. Expect refreshments, giveaways and plenty of new merchandise. As regards the name change, Jennings simply explains: "I have become weary with everything being ‘vintage’ and ‘retro.’" The store is smaller than the old locations, she adds, but expect more streamlined inventory and "improved personal attention to customers." The new location’s address is 1929 Greenville. Metro Retro was a beloved neighborhood retail spot, so I expect a great turnout — planning to be there myself!
