Several police, including a SWAT vehicle, responded to shots fired in the morning Sept. 2 along Ross Avenue.

A suspect was arrested and taken into custody and no injuries from the incident were reported, Dallas police shared via Twitter.

The gunman, taken into custody shortly after entering a leasing office at the Alexan Ross apartments, was treated for injuries that were not from the police interaction, The Dallas Morning News reports.

Several intersections in the 4000 block of Ross Avenue in Old East Dallas were blocked off while police investigated the crime scene.
