Shoppers at Kroger on Mockingbird at Greenville this past weekend might’ve spied this 7-foot Hello Kitty doing a little shopping.
That big ol’ kitty is neighborhood resident Wes Dunn, and he’s the Kitty for Komen. Dunn approached Komen for the Cure awhile back to make sure it was OK for him to go Kroger-ing around Dallas representing the Dallas-based nonprofit. He buys Gatorade, Yoplait yogurt and other products from Komen supporters.
Dunn’s father recently finished chemotherapy, and several of his wife’s relatives have died of breast cancer. Dunn, as the Kitty for Komen, participated in the 30th Komen Dallas Race this past weekend.
