The rest of the campus has been torn down in preparation for the school rebuild.

Demolition began in September at the site on Delmar Avenue in the Lower Greenville area. Last month, the Dallas City Plan Commission approved the zoning required to rebuild the school.

Dallas ISD expects to reopen the campus in fall 2024. Students and staff will get to experience new classrooms, gardens and play spaces, among other features.

The Geneva Heights community has been temporarily moved to the former Jill Stone Elementary School while demolition and construction are ongoing.
