Foxtrot, a coffee shop and market, will open soon at 3606A Greenville Ave.
The shop will replace OT Tavern, The Dallas Morning News reports. OT Tavern closed in July after several violent incidents occurred there. The most recent was a shooting that took place this summer.
Neighbors have been critical of it and next-door Bar 3606, which is still open, for both the noise and the crime associated with the establishments. The owner of OT Tavern, Shaun Marchant, announced the closure just days after the Dallas City Attorney’s Office announced it would file a lawsuit against the landlord of the properties.
The proprietors of Foxtrot plan to completely renovate the location.
Foxtrot was founded in Chicago and now has locations in Dallas, Virginia and Washington, D.C. In addition to coffee, the shop will serve freshly made meals all day long. The market section will include a selection of groceries, household items, alcohol and gifts. Foxtrot offers delivery service from both its kitchen and its market, usually reaching customers within 30 minutes.
The Greenville Avenue spot will be Foxtrot’s fourth location in Dallas after a shop on Knox Street opens later this week.
