The New York Times Travel magazine published a long piece Sunday about Dallas, written by Mimi Swarz, a self-described former M-Streets resident who I believe also does some writing for Texas Monthly. Anyway, the story is highly positive of where Dallas is going, and Lakewood even pops up once. ("But maybe it is indicative of the city’s semi-relaxation that York Street, its best restaurant, is tucked into a tiny space in the cozy east Dallas neighborhood known as Lakewood.")
