Riley says Dang resigned “for personal reasons.”

The school announced Dang as the replacement for outgoing principal Kyle Richardson in May.

Riley says the school district has “reopened the process” in its search for a principal for the 2016-2017 school year.

My guess is that they will work efficiently to find the right principal. But that’s what it’s about, finding the right person for the job.”

Dang began his career with Dallas ISD as a math and science teacher at the Metropolitan Learning Center after attending the University of Texas at Austin. In a letter to the staff, Tracie Fraley, executive director for the Woodrow feeder pattern, describes Dang as “a highly respected educational leader known for his inclusiveness, curricular knowledge and professionalism.”
