Chick-fil-A Highland Meadows, a new franchise to the nationwide chain, will begin serving East Dallas starting Thursday, Feb. 15. The franchise is independently owned by Dallas native, Michael Walkup.

Located at 11875 E Northwest Highway, Chick-fil-A Highland Meadows will offer dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and Mobile Thru from 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 6:00 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Saturday.

The Highland Meadows location adds to more than 140 Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Dallas-Forth Worth metroplex.

Walkup’s resume includes owning and operating two Dallas Chick-fil-A restaurants: North Park Center in 2014 before relocating to White Rock in 2017, and now Highland Meadows, marking his third franchise. Walkup will continue to operate Chick-fil-A White Rock alongside the new restaurant.

I can’t imagine my life without Chick-fil-A, and hope that every Guest we serve feels the same.” 

The popular chicken restaurant, known for exceptional customer service, speedy service and community involvement. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are encouraged to support their communities with a focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.

Walkup has established several efforts to assist vulnerable populations in Dallas, including donating sandwiches every week to Acts Ministries, Maggie’s House and Hope Dallas

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in DFW to support hunger relief.

Both of Walkup’s restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-AShared Table program, which redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits. 

More than 25 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada. Chick-fil-A White Rock will continue to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, while Chick-fil-A Highland Meadows will begin its participation upon opening.

 In addition, Chick-fil-A Highland Meadows is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the East Dallas area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
