Planting and mulching 25 crape myrtles was the latest effort by neighbors in Casa Linda Forest, Casa LInda Estates and Little Forest Hills to "take our park into the future as one of the best neighborhood parks in Dallas," says Susan Remele, who has been instrumental in organizing the efforts.

Seventeen neighbors spent last Saturday morning at the park, partnering with the City of Dallas Park Department, specifically James Page and Lori Tracy. Visit this photo slideshow to see their hard work in action.

Remele says that past projects include a new three-way water fountain, a much improved basketball court with dual goals, and a revitalized softball diamond. Future plans include a jogging path around the entire park, a new pavilion, updated playground equipment, and a gazebo. Neighbors’ involvement, both in volunteer hours and in fundraising, have made a significant difference in the city’s progress on the park’s comprehensive plan.
