If you’re struggling to find a place to take your friends or family for lunch, dinner or drinks on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, here’s a cheat sheet of places that will be open during the holidays. We already did the legwork of calling each location to double-check which days and hours they will be open (because the information on Yelp is often wrong). You’re welcome and happy holidays!
Christmas Eve and Christmas:
Shivas Bar and Grill at 1907 Greenville is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas from 5-10 p.m. both days.
Terilli’s Restaurant and Bar at 2815 Greenville is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. both days.
Buzzbrews at 5815 Live Oak in Lakewood is open on Christmas Eve until midnight. They open back up at 6 a.m. on Christmas Day, and they’re open for 24-hours from there on out. They also have happy hour available from 3-7 p.m. Go to the website for more.
Knife at 5300 E. Mockingbird is open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas during regular hours. Breakfast is from 6:30-10:30 a.m., lunch is from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and dinner is from 5-9 p.m.
Luby’s at 6221 E Mockingbird is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and on Christmas from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Cock and Bull at 6330 Gaston is open regular hours on Christmas Eve from 3 p.m.-2 a.m. and they’re open on Christmas Day from 6 p.m.-2 a.m.
Christmas only:
Nodding Donkey at 5600 SMU is closed Christmas Eve, but they’re open on Christmas Day from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Christmas Eve only:
Fish Bone Grill is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. They’re closed on Christmas.
Cane Rosso at 7328 Gaston near White Rock Lake is open on Christmas Eve during normal hours from 5-10 p.m. They’re closed on Christmas.
Penne Pomodoro in Lakewood at 1924 Abrams will be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. with both regular and special menus. They’re closed on Christmas.
The Ginger Man Pub at 6341 La Vista is open on Christmas Eve from 2-7 p.m. and 6 p.m. -2 a.m. They’re closed on Christmas.
Zoe’s Kitchen at 2009 Abrams in Lakewood is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. They’re closed on Christmas.
Liberty Burger at 1904 Abrams in Lakewood is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. They’re closed Christmas.
