Neighborhood blogger Bruce Felps was taken to Presbyterian Hospital’s intensive care unit Wednesday night after a blood vessel burst in his brain. Neighborhood residents Patricia Carr and Lilia Estrada passed the news along to me; you can stay up-to-date about Felps’ condition at this Caring Bridge website, which is being updated periodically by his sister, Kathy.
Felps is a familiar face to many of us in the neighborhood. He wrote about neighborhood issues for a couple of publications over the years before launching his own website, East Dallas Times, awhile back. He’s well-known at neighborhood schools and by neighborhood politicos, and he has always been a fair, responsible competitor in terms of our daily efforts to provide readers with neighborhood updates.
