Two local bakeries were named among the top 10 in Dallas by USA Today.
Leila Bakery & Cafe was included in the list. Located on Oram Street, it’s known for its deep-dish quiches, croissants, scones, cookies, pies, cakes, cinnamon rolls, muffins and kolaches.
Owner Kelly Ball says the handmade crust is what makes the baked goods so special.
Boulangerie by Village Baking Co. was also ranked. Its owner, Clint Cooper, honed his baking skills by working in small bakeries in France. The Lowest Greenville bakery offers a variety of artisan breads, baguettes, sweet and savory croissants and more.
