It’s almost time for Lowest Greenville to have what Upper Greenville already has — a boulangerie.

After months of construction, Clint Cooper and his wife Kim, the owners of Village Baking Co. in East Dallas, have finally announced their second location along Greenville Avenue will open to the public on May 14.

The new boulangerie storefront, which according to the website is “inspired by many visits to the Bordeaux French countryside” with “a hint of their Texas family farm,” will be open on Lowest Greenville daily from 7 a.m.-7p.m.

This one will be a tad different than the Upper Greeneville location on University Blvd. It will be have an extended menu that includes “rustic style sandwiches and additional veinnoisere and patisserie.” Also, the bakery will have limited standing room inside, although there is outside seating available.

The walkability of Lowest Greenville was a selling point for the Coopers, Clint says. The hope is that neighbors will visit in the morning and then again on their way home from work.
