streusal-cakeFrom the hands of neighborhood chefs Lily Hanson and Skye McDaniel, comes an array of delicacies made from scratch this Easter weekend at The Bake Sale, which is a pop-up bakery and flower market. Snag some handcrafted teacakes, cookies, chocolate confections, and Easter breads.

Hanson is a self-taught pastry chef whose work experience includes Hotel Za Za, Bolsa, and Urbano Cafe. McDaniel studied culinary arts at El Centro and is currently with Murray Street Coffee Shop. She has also worked at Village Baking Co., Boulevardier, and Cafe Momentum. Both also have backgrounds in fine arts. Hanson has a MFA from SMU. McDaniel is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for The Performing and Visual Arts.

Joining them is Flower Power Nation’s Miriana Andreeva with her artfully elegant floral arrangements, and Dallas-based coffee roasters Full City Rooster, which will be for sale and available for sampling.

The event is Easter weekend, April 3-4, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at 1410 North Fitzhugh Ave. at Bryan St. by Jimmy’s and Urbano Café in Old East Dallas.
