After a fire destroyed a home in East Dallas near White Rock Lake on Tuesday, a next door neighbor is raising funds to help out the homeowner. Jocelyn Dallas posted on the Lakewood, Dallas Facebook page:
“I’m sure a lot of you heard of the home that burned down yesterday in East Dallas near White Rock Lake. The lady lives in my neighborhood and we are trying to raise funds to help with expenses and get back on her feet. I believe her home and car were completely destroyed. She had a dog or two that were able to escape with her, but we are still searching for her cat. It’s a gray male with green eyes, and answers to the name Snookums.
