From 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., there will be 100 simultaneous ice cream parties taking place in U.S. communities, including East Dallas. Grab a spoon and join the party at the Natural Grocers in Casa Linda Plaza.

The company said in an email that “although it might seem ‘unhealthy’ to celebrate a health-conscious store’s anniversary with ice cream, this dessert symbolizes the company’s inspiration for better dairy standards, which require dairy animals to graze on a pasture for a minimum of 120 days.”

The founder’s passion for healthy living for both consumers and animals continues to drive Natural Grocers’ Naturally Raised Dairy Standard. The founder’s children, including executive vice president Heather Isely, are running Natural Grocers today, with the same commitment to dairy standards, the email says.

It’s a 1950s themed event, so there will be 1950s-themed music playing all day. There will be a dairy and non-dairy menu available with root beer float and sundae samples from 4 to 6 p.m. Plus look for other perks as well.
