Racks of ribs from 3 Stack Smoke & Tap House: Facebook

The owner named on city documents and on the company’s LLC applications is Jason Hall, whom we believe is a restaurateur from the family that opened the first Hooter’s in Texas and at one time owned more than 40 franchises around the state. Hall owns 3 Stacks Smoke & Tap House in Frisco, where Trace Arnold, known as “the rib whisperer,” smokes the meat. 3 Stacks received a stamp of approval from neighborhood resident and barbecue critic Daniel Vaughn, who now writes for Texas Monthly.

We’ve reached out to Hall to see whether he’s behind Lakewood Smokehouse and find out what we can expect from the restaurant. We’ll keep you posted.
