East Mockingbird Lane is getting new asphalt.
Construction crews are working on a maintenance project that spans Mockingbird from Abrams Road to Delmar Avenue, which borders Mockingbird Elementary.
They’re removing the asphalt, fixing any base failures and then adding new asphalt.
This project is expected to be completed in the next four weeks, according to a program manager at the Department of Public Works.
Road work has been common in our neighborhood recently. Of course, 3G has been under construction since December 2021. And a project on Skillman Street, including street resurfacing and curb replacements, was completed in May.
