Located at 2639 Main St., the newly reconstructed 3,800 square-foot restaurant holds over 200 guests and features a large indoor dining space with a bar and an outdoor front patio with seating that overlooks Deep Ellum.

Miznon Dallas is the first Texas location and is one of five locations in the United States and the 18th restaurant worldwide.

“What better city than Dallas to bring and cultivate the essence of the pita to such a dynamic and progressive metroplex filled with energy, diversity and warmth,” said Miznon Founder and Head Chef Eyal Shani. “We’ve crafted a unique experience that celebrates the vibrant culture of Deep Ellum while creating a sense of community and happiness through Mediterranean cuisine and the Miznon experience.”

Founded in Tel Aviv in 2011 by celebrity chef Eyal Shani, Miznon brings plates made from locally sourced ingredients to create a new kind of Mediterranean street food.

Fan favorite pita dishes include an array of menu options, and a Dallas exclusive menu item, the bone-in pita with slow-cooked lamb spare rib stew glazed with sweet grapes, tahini, chili, onion and pickles.

Additional menu items include:

  • Folded cheeseburger: ground beef, cheddar, aioli, sour cream, tomato, pickles, voted second on the best dish in New York City by TimeOut in 2018.
  • Candy steak: seared overnight brisket, aioli, mustard, pickles, tomato and red onion.
  • Rib eye minute steak: tahini, tomato salsa, pickles, tomato and spicy green peppers.
  • Lavan: cauliflower, tahini, tomato salsa, spicy green peppers and scallions.

The “Original World Famous Baby Cauliflower” is also a Miznon staple on the menu.

“I became a huge fan of Miznon after visiting the Tel Aviv location years ago and being a Dallas native, I knew this was a culinary concept missing from the local food scene,” said Miznon Dallas Owner Jude Akpunku. “There is truly nothing like the quality and freshness of the food. I am excited for Dallas to partake in the unique dining experience at Miznon.”

Miznon Dallas will be open Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and closed on Monday. The Mediterranean restaurant will offer a brunch, dinner and late-night menu.

The restaurant says they will continue to expand to other cities and suburbs in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with the second location expected to open later this year in North Texas.
