Don’t forget the meeting this Thursday to discuss the White Rock Lake lighting project … but how could you? Since we reported a couple weeks ago that Sheffie Kadane called a meeting to discuss the contentious issue, stories have appeared in People Newspapers and the Dallas Morning News. I wonder if Kadane was prepared for the publicity. His original invitation (sent on his behalf by assistant Caroline Nosworthy) read as follows:
For the purpose of this meeting we are only including those who were involved in the planning as well as the folks who have contacted Council member Kadane to voice concern. If we need a larger follow-up to this meeting to expand the discussion we will certainly plan accordingly.
She also requests an RSVP.
I will note I’m not surprised about the news stories, as neighbor Chip Northrup has initiated one heck of a publicity blast.
