A Back Talk reader recently gave me a heads up that this was going to happen (thanks, Jason ) — a new dog park (reportedly inspired by enormous crowds at White Rock Dog Park) is moving into the East Dallas area.
Reading this Business Journal piece, the phrase ‘dog park’ started to seem inadequate. This impending doggie-land, "Unleashed", is a 50,000-square-foot indoor park atop 6.5 acres of wooded land on Ferguson near I-30. It will include an indoor climate controlled area with doggie agility equipment; and the place will offer dog day care, grooming, bathing, pet supply shop and a cafe (for dogs or people? Not sure, but dog park aroma doesn’t do much for my appetite). All told it’s going to be about a $10 million endeavor.
