Cheba Hut will open at 2808 Main St. across from Stirr in a former auto parts place, CultureMap reported.

The eatery is based in Colorado (of course) and has grown to 30 locations since opening in 1998. The Deep Ellum restaurant will be the first in Dallas.

Science has proved marijuana and music make the perfect pair. Could franchise owner Chance Steed have picked a more perfect spot than the neighborhood known for live music?

Cheba Hut serves toasted subs with pot-themed names like Power Plant, which comes with guacamole, hummus, feta, spring mix, onion, tomato, pickle, cucumber, sprouts, black olives and house dressing. Or try the Magic Mushroom with pepper jack, portabella, teriyaki glaze, green peppers and pineapples.

The menu also includes munchies like chips, garlic cheese bread, pretzel nuggets and chocolate chip cookies. And no stoner shop would be complete without brownies. “Of course we have brownies on our menu, and of course they are the best brownies in town” — although, that could be the marijuana talking.

To cure your cotton mouth, Cheba serves Kool-Aid, Red Bull, craft beer and soft drinks.
