The Lombardi family will be bringing a new restaurant concept ("Cibus") to NorthPark this fall, according to the Dallas Business Journal. A 5,000-squre-foot indoor/outdoor restaurant overlooking the mall’s sculpture garden is expected to open by September; the restaurant will offer sit-down seating on a patio facing the garden, as well as sandwiches and salads for quick-pick dining. The sculpture garden is one of the mall’s least-visible but most breathtaking aspects. A great weather-proof vista is available on the second floor of the AMC theater, just behind the service desk as you hop off the escalator. It’s a very restful yet invigorating spot right in the center of the city’s busiest mall.
