With St. Patrick’s Day coming up, local Irish pub Lochland’s is getting ready to host its annual festivities with dancing, music, corned beef and more.
While the actual feast day of St. Patrick falls on Monday this year, Lochland’s will celebrate on Saturday in addition to Monday, as will many Dallasites with the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival scheduled for Saturday. The pub will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Monday, and there is a $10 cover charge to enter.
The pub has scheduled a full lineup of entertainment for the holiday. Traditional dancing, bagpipes and folk music will all be on offer on Saturday, with dancing and session music only on Monday.
The full entertainment lineup is as follows:
Saturday
12:30 p.m: Irish Dancers – Inishfree School of Irish Dance
Noon-2:30 p.m: Reel Treble (Session Music)
1 p.m: Bagpipers
4 p.m: Irish Dancers –McLane School of Irish Dance
2-4 p.m and 5-8 p.m: Claddagh (Traditional Irish Pub Music)
Monday
2 p.m: McLane School Irish Dancers
3-5 p.m: Claddagh
9-6 Reel Treble
Lochlands will also put on a special menu for the holiday, complete with corn beef and cabbage.
Family deals and two day discounts will be offered on the cover charge, owners told the Advocate.
