There are two new tenants on the side of the Lakewood shopping center that faces Abrams, and it looks like they should be opening any day now.
Unleashed by Petco
One is Unleashed by Petco, which “provides the same knowledge and know-how offered by Petco in a unique, smaller package,” according to the website. Up until now, there were only three Unleashed locations in Texas — two near Houston and one in Round Rock.
20/20 Sight
This morning the doors were open and several men were busy hauling shelves inside and setting them up. One let me inside to snap a picture and told me the store will host a soft opening the Friday after next.
Right next door, the other new tenant in the Lakewood shopping center is 20/20 Sight, which also looks like it should be open in a week or two.
If you look on the 20/20 Sight website, it lists Lakewood as a new location and says they hope to open during late summer of 2013.
The practice was started in Grand Prairie in 1999, and then they expanded to Forney in 2006. This will be their third location.
