Isabel Gameros, a junior at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, plays Tyler in the seven-episode drama series.

Gameros’ character, who appears in six episodes, is the niece of Mike Valentine, an ex-cop with an addiction to gambling who has to return to his home state of Florida. Valentine is tasked by his mob boss, Moss Yankov, with finding Moss’ runaway girlfriend. But Valentine has a personal interest in locating the woman, as well, since he had an affair with her.

Florida Man, starring Edgar Ramirez as Mike Valentine, was released April 13. The show was created by Donald Todd, who produced the series This Is Us, and Jason Bateman was executive producer.

This isn’t Gameros’ first role in film or television. She was in Deranged Granny with Wendie Malick and Amanda Righetti, along with the short film Chupacabra. She also appeared in two episodes of the USA series Queen of the South.

Gameros is a member of Booker T.’s mock trial team and was nominated for “Top Advocate” at this year’s state competition, where the arts magnet tied for third.
