The Lakewood Library Fest is from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10. The free event includes activities for kids, live music, prize drawings and a sale. Proceeds are used to buy new materials for the Lakewood Branch Library.

The Lakewood Knit Wits, the knitting group that meets there on Tuesdays, has crafted an afghan, which they are contributing to the sale. The Knit Wits are the ones who yarn bombed the neighborhood earlier this year. Much of their yarn-bombing centered on the library.
