Christina’s been all over the reopening of the old Bailey’s, now Lakewood, 1st and 10. The original plan was for the restaurant to be open before March Madness was over, but getting a liquor license took too long and it didn’t happen.
I spoke with Sean Schulgen, one of the five owners, who told me the liquor license is in place, as is, more importantly, the liquor. The menu’s set, and all that’s left is training the employees. The plan is to have a grand opening kickoff on or around April 9, just in time for the beginning of golf’s Masters Tournament. It’s not a done deal, but it’s looking like this is finally going to happen.
