The Advocate originally reported on this project in June 2020. At that time, it was called Eastside Trail, and the plan was to build 127 single-family units for sale, 45 “flats” and 82 townhomes.

Since then, the community sandwiched between the Winsted Apartments and Arboretum Village shopping center on Gaston Avenue has been renamed Lakeside.

Phase One will include 44 townhomes priced at the mid-$400,000s to mid-$600,000s.

The first homes will be available fall 2022.

Community amenities include pocket parks but no pool. The property will not be gated, and there will be one entrance on Connecticut Lane.

This development is also located right by the Santa Fe Trail at the former site of The Edge at White Rock, which was a for-rent community of 98 townhomes.
