From the brilliant mind behind Khao Noodle Shop comes a new fusion pop-up. Every other Sunday, chef Donny Sirisavath will run Khao Len inside Khao Noodle Shop. Khao Len will offer creative menu items inspired by various world cultures.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Sirisavath planned to open Khao Len as a standalone restaurant, as first reported by Eater Dallas. He still plans to open a standalone location once the pandemic comes to an end, but for now, he is going to let the restaurant grow on its own.
“Khao Len will continue to grow and will live up to its big brother one day,” Sirisavath said in a post on his Facebook page. “For now, it’s going to continue to share its story at a slower pace.”
Khao Len will offer fusion-style items, including a Lao barbecue platter, roti tacos and the Khao Len burger. The Khao Len burger consists of house-made ribeye patties on a scallion brioche bun, served with a side of crinkle fries and jeow bong ketchup.
The pop-up will run every other Sunday beginning Sept. 6 for takeout and outdoor dining orders. More information will be posted on its Facebook and Instagram pages.
