Local mainstay John’s Cafe, forced from its Greenville Avenue location to the outskirts of Lake Highlands when it lost its lease 13 months ago, may be moving back to the neighborhood. My normally reliable dining source, Deep Breakfast, reports that Nick’s Cafe, on lowest Greenville at Ross, has closed and that John’s will take over the lease. And Nick’s is empty, with a sign saying it will reopen under new owners in three or four weeks.
By the way, how is that bank coming on the old John’s site?
